As I left teaching in 2019, I was starting to shoot and develop my own 35mm film. When I look back at these photos, they seem to capture an eerie interior landscape of memories and places that I will never return to- my grandparents’ farmstead which has now been sold, my house before my divorce, the school where I taught for seven years, travel photos from the United Kingdom that I accidentally double exposed with neighborhood flowers during COVID quarantine, my ex girlfriend’s house- so much has changed since 2019. The many futures that felt so uncertain now look like ancient ghosts to me in 2026.
